Video project from The Guinness Book of Records will be shown in Perm

The official opening of the international twin cities festival “We are together!” took place at the Soldatov Cultural Center. Art collectives from different countries presented their shows to the Perm audience.

“Blacksmiths from Duisburg, lacemakers from France, musical collectives will demonstrate their skills during the interactive show at the Perm Arbat. The audience will also see a fire show from the Louisville art group and a cooking show”, – said the director of the festival, Ekaterina Askarova.

“The third big book in the world” international video project, brought under The Guinness Book of Records will be shown to the Perm audience. The book has traveled the world in a truck. It will arrive in Perm only in a video version, which can be seen on September 20 at the Permskaya Street, and on September 21 at the Gorky Park. The author encourages everyone to leave their signature and notes in the book.

French composer Henry Torgue piano concert and the “Tonight it’s sunshine and rain” jazz festival will take place at the Organ Philharmonic Hall. The official closing ceremony will happen at the same place.

“It’s the first time we bring all our twin cities together. The festival is multigenre, diverse. Collectives from different countries unite to create unique pieces of art. The festival really makes us all closer”, - said the Deputy Chief of the City Administration Alexey Gribanov.

The festival program includes more that 30 shows altogether. More than 60 participants from all over the world came to Perm to take part in the festival. The largest team arrived from Qingdao  - 18 people. They will show the most popular Chinese folk dance “Yangge”.

Please be reminded that the festival starts on September 17 and will go on till September 23. The festival has been presented to Perm by its twin towns as the 290th anniversary gift.
